 Site prob. Screenshots update.

by Ezy on: Jun 22 2008

If I update a screenshot of my content ppl will need to clear their cache in order to see the new one. A simple refresh does not work. Could this be fixed?

You should send that bug report to this site administrator directly:
http://kde-look.org/usermanager/search.php?username=Frank
you will be hardly ever noticed with site problems in the forums here (at least that is my experience)

This will probably never be fixed, as the site would have to send an expire header to disable proxies in general. This would increase the load on this non-profit site.

Simply hitting Shift-Reload is a very easy workaround for users that is not expensive for this site.

New KDE / Kubuntu Forum Site

by SilverBear on: Jun 25 2008

A new project by the Kubuntu users' community is called KubuntuWay.net http://kubuntuway.net/forum/index.php : a full-feature Forum for people who like their Ubuntu Linux with the distinctive KDE desktop. While the focus is on shared support among users of Kubuntu, site admin Johnny Utah stresses that he'd like to see users make it a distinctively relaxed and community-oriented site, not just another tech-support site.

Sure, you can just come and register in order to ask a Kubuntu or KDE-related question. But J.U. expressed a desire to me to create a place that appeals to creative KDE/Kubuntu users. "I want this place to be community based, not me. . . arbitrarily creating rules as I see fit."

The Site is only about a day old at this point. It might not be fair, but people who join earlier will probably have more opportunity to influence the shape of things than people who come in six months or a year from now. Anyway, it looks pretty good to me so far.

When I select this option, and select 'import pcf file', I'm never given the option to select the file. KVPNC goes to the 'userid and password' screen I would excpect if I selected 'manual configuration'.

Thoughts?

Hi.
I'm currently looking for a light-blue theme, nothing dark, just white and blue, anyone know any good theme or content?

Ok. Thanks.
